Comments: If I could give Dr. Dillon more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Dillon and his associate Dr. Atkins performed my total left shoulder replacement in late 2025, and I could not be happier with the outcome. I am now at about 6 months post-surgery and I am completely pain free and I feel that I have 100% of the range of motion of a natural shoulder. I was so impressed not only with Dr. Dillon, but by the entire process that was put together by the IU Health organization. The pre-op orientation was well organized and thorough, even to the point of training on the initial motions and PT exercises that I should/should not do in the first couple of weeks after surgery. I was very impressed with the rigorous pre-op approach for preventing infection. Afterwards, the PT provided at IU Health Orthopedics and Sports Medicine was high quality and very useful for developing my range of motion and starting to rebuild my strength. Overall, I had no complications of any kind, the early post-op pain was not bad and I was able to manage it easily with just Tylenol, and I was able to redevelop my range of motion without the PT sessions ever requiring difficult or painful manipulations. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Dillon and the IU Health organization to anyone who is in need of a shoulder joint replacement.
